Year 1

In the first year, you will be introduced to essential principles and theory relating to accounting, finance and business through the following compulsory modules:

• ‘Introduction to Financial and Management Accounting’
• ‘Introduction to Business 1’
• ‘Introduction to Organisational Behaviour
• ‘Economics for Business’
• ‘Principles of Marketing’
• 'Introduction to Quantitative Methods for Business’

Year 2

In the second year, you will develop your understanding of finance and the broader management topics introduced in the first year through the following compulsory modules:

• ‘Business Finance’
• ‘International Business’
• ‘Quantitative Methods for Business’
• ‘Operations Strategy and Management’ 
• ‘Human Resource Management’

Year 3

In your third year, you will further develop your understanding of finance and management through the following advanced compulsory modules:

• ‘Investment Management’
• ‘Financial Modelling’ 
• ‘International Financial Services’ 

Your third year will be spent overseas at one of our partner universities and although you will need to pass your year abroad, it won’t count towards your final degree classification. In addition to studying business and related subjects offered by your host institute, a year abroad will give you the opportunity to experience a different culture and learn a little more about yourself.

Year 4

In your fourth year, you will further develop your understanding of finance and management through the following advanced compulsory modules:

• ‘Investment Management’
• ‘Financial Modelling’
• 'International Financial Services’ 

• IELTS: 6.5 overall (minimum 6.0 in any component)

The BSc Business Finance and Management is designed for those looking to pursue a career in the financial services industry or financial aspects of any organisation. You will study the key principles of business finance, financial management, investment management, financial modelling and the operation of financial markets alongside other core management disciplines. This degree programme is applied in nature and is a proud member of the prestigious CFA Institute® University Affiliation Program.

Upon graduation, you will have the appropriate knowledge, skills and qualifications to pursue a wide variety of careers including working in banking, investments, fund management and management consulting among others, as well as in finance in any organisation and sector.
