Students should be able to develop a critical view that recognises the social construction of disruptive behaviour in schools and at the same time acknowledge the real difficulties faced by some learners; they should also become familiar with, and implement a range of approaches to, assessment, teaching and supporting learners considered to be disaffected, as well as approaches that aim to support the generality of pupils.
