When studying ancient history with archaeology or history, students study 2 modules per year from the ancient history programme, including the core modules Greek and Roman history and 2 from either archaeology or history; the ancient history modules offer students the chance to study the main issues of Greek and Roman history, society and political life and to explore the ways in which Greeks and Romans thought about their own past; for ancient history, all texts are usually taught in translation, so it is not necessary to study Latin or Greek language modules unless desired.

Расположение

В Эксетерском университете имеется три академгородка, два из которых – Стритхемпский и Святого Луки – расположены в городе Эксетер (графство Девон) и один – Пенринский – расположен в городке Пенрин (графство Корнуолл).


Центр Эксетера – культурной столицы юго-запада Англии – находится в двадцати минутах ходьбы от Стритхемпского академгородка. В городе много музеев, исторических достопримечательностей, магазинов, кафе, ресторанов и ночных клубов.
