This innovative programme has been designed to meet the needs of a growing and competitive design industry; the course emphasises the balance between creativity and practicality; a strong theoretical basis is encouraged for creative concepts, while technology is applied in solving design problems; modules are carefully structured to integrate ergonomic and spatial qualities of design, within the context of historical background and contemporary practice; to broaden students’ learning experience, they work with interior designers and various professionals of relevant fields, such as architects, surveyors and furniture designers; students are encouraged to communicate their design ideas through manual draughting and computer drawing programmes such as AutoCAD and Revit.
