B.A. degree or equivalent degree with an overall grade of at least 2.5 (no additional oral examination). With an overall grade from 2.6 to 3.0 there will be an additional oral examination.
Verification required of academic achievement in Art History or Art Sciences totalling at least 57 credits including at least 9 credits in advanced studies.
If you are not a native German speaker, you must demonstrate sufficient German language skills on level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). You can demonstrate these skills by the successful completion of the DSH-exam (at least DSH-2) or the TestDaF (at least 4XTDN4).

The Master's programme for Art History broadens and refines the methodical repertoire of the Bachelor's programme. The knowledge of the objects in regards to technique, genre and epoch of their origin as well as reception is expanded and deepened so that criteria for the aesthetic value targets are acquired as the result of communicative processes at different times, enabling an even more independent critique of subject literature.
