Economics All years: microeconomics 1 and 2; macroeconomics 1 and 2; plus level 3 options from: issues in economic policy 1 (macroeconomics); issues in economic policy 2 (microeconomics); econometric methods and applications I and H; advanced economic theory I and H; economics of finance and investment; monetary theory; economics of the public sector 1; economics of the public sector 2; international trade; international finance; economics of the European Community 1; economics of the European Community 2; industrial economics and policy; firms, markets and corporate strategy; imperialism 1; imperialism 2; planning in developing countries 1; planning in developing countries 2; economics of the financial system; international economics; money and banking; dissertation.

The University has a comprehensive combined degree structure that allows students the flexibility to choose not just what they study but also the emphasis of their degree course; students choose either a joint combination (studying both subjects equally) or a major/minor combination (studying 1 subject for 75% of the time and the 2nd subject for 25% of the time); students taking education as part of a combined Honours degree are given the opportunity to study education as a process and an academic subject, building on and developing their own knowledge, understanding and experience; the focus is on a range of core courses that look at contemporary issues, processes and approaches in education; those following the education major route also follow a course in information communication technology in education.
