Accounting provides students with a sound basis for progression to careers in accounting or with an accounting bias, as well as for careers in general management; it also affords a good preparation for professional accounting qualifications; accounting as a major subject provides subject exemptions from the examinations of 2 of the UK professional bodies: the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA); information systems gives students a sound foundation in information systems from the basics of management information systems to dedicated decision support, database and expert systems; it also covers project management and the use of information systems as a strategic tool; this field of study equips students with the knowledge and skills to work in, or to interface with, the computer industry; those who take a major or twin are typically prepared for a career as an information technology manager or consultant, a systems designer or a support analyst.

Расположение

  • Здания Университета располагаются в городах Хатфилд и Сент-Олбанс, а также в Бейфордбери (сельская полевая станция и обсерватория в пригороде Хетфорда).
