Course explores the manipulation of particles (atoms, molecules and even biomolecules) to produce smart new materials; alongside courses in the fundamental physics of the nanoworld, students study the science of tomorrow’s world with its unimaginably minute information systems, sensors and technology; both experimental and theoretical final-year research projects in nanotechnology are carried out within one of the research teams in the Department.
