All students will complete the core modules during the first half of the programme, giving them an opportunity to explore where their interests and strengths lie before choosing the modules and electives which will lead to a specific pathway; modules: Data modelling; decision modelling and simulation; the management context; management science modelling; research methods and project work; statistics for management; spreadsheet modelling and VBA; either advanced methods in operational research (OR) or managing complexity; 1 option from environmental modelling, logistics and supply chain, performance management, or MSc management elective.

For MSc: Good 1st degree in a numerate discipline preferably including an introduction to operational research; for MPhil and PhD: A relevant qualification at masters level or equivalent.

Management science informs high-level strategy but can be used at an operational level to improve processes, productivity and performance; the Management Science MSc programmes have recently been redesigned to incorporate the skills which, according to latest research, are in increasing demand from employers; this means that graduates are often able to command above-average starting salaries on completing their masters.

Расположение

Три кампуса Университета Кента в Соединенном Королевстве расположены в Кентербери, Медуэйе и Тонбридже. В состав вуза также входят европейские отделения — в Париже,Риме, Брюсселе и Афинах.

Главный кампус в Кентербери площадью более 120 га расположился в парковой зоне. Всего в 25 минутах ходьбы от университетского городка находится знаменитый старинный Кентерберийский кафедральный собор. Кентербери с уверенностью можно назвать оживленным городом с теплой и дружеской атмосферой. Отсюда можно легко отправиться в путешествие в Лондон, Францию и Бельгию. Университет обеспечивает бесплатное автобусное сообщение между кампусами в Медуэйе и Кентербери.
