When applying for a place to study at universities in the state of Baden-Württemberg you have to take an orientation test. Applicants with higher education entrance qualification from abroad:
•general or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification
•school graduation that permits higher education entrance in the home country and is recognised as equal to the German higher education entrance qualification or
•assessment test (Studienkolleg (preparatory course)). German language skills: DSH 2 or TestDaF 4. Study is conducted in German and English.

During your Mathematical Finance studies you will learn complex mathematical methods that will enable you to analyse and solve complex economic issues in the context of events on financial markets. You will learn, for example, how to investigate financial markets (especially in crisis situations) or to critically assess financial investments. The necessary foundations for this consist of a comprehensive education in mathematics and a theoretical, application-oriented education in economics. This is why the courses offered comprise equal shares of both these disciplines.
