The course emphasises educational and professional studies alongside the core subjects; module for each of English; mathematics; science; foundation subjects module; plus inputs on citizenship and personal, social and health education; placements in 2 different schools to gain experience of teaching across both key stages; total of 19 weeks spent in schools.

Degree or equivalent; GCSE grade C or above in mathematics; English; science; meet physical and mental fitness requirements; enhanced disclosure from the CRB; IELTS 6.0 for those whose 1st language is not English.

Experiences in the University and in partnership schools are designed to prepare students to teach the full 5-11 primary age range; students have opportunity to work with teachers and children in both primary key stages.

Расположение

Университетский городок находятся в 20 минутах ходьбы от вокзала города Лидса. Вокзал Лидса соединяет вуз со всеми крупными городами Великобритании, и имеет быстрое сообщение с Лондоном.

Лидс обслуживают два больших аэропорта: Лидс Бредфорд и Манчестер. Совершаются регулярные рейсы из множества городов Европы и мира. От аэропорта Бредфорд примерно 20 минут на такси до Университета.
