The course aims to provide students with the opportunity to further develop their knowledge and skills as counsellors, and to develop their skills and expertise as researchers; students develop the ability to critically appraise both their own work and other projects related to counselling; professional competence is enhanced through professional development; the course aims to provide an opportunity for personal and career development, and to demonstrate a high level of competence as practitioners; to provide learning opportunities that will enable students to develop competence as researchers and consumers of research; and to provide opportunities in a learning environment for students to explore a particular aspect of counselling, psychotherapy or supervision that will enhance their professionalism and expertise.
