Years 1-2: Range of compulsory modules including: Programming in Java; computer systems; databases; software engineering; algorithmic foundations; complexity of algorithms; artificial intelligence. Years 3-4: Choice of options from: Computer vision and graphics; knowledge representation and reasoning; biocomputation; technologies for e-commerce; group software project; individual project; in the 4th year, 4 research-based taught modules are taken in the 1st semester, with the 2nd semester involving an extended research project equivalent to four taught modules.
