At the Department of Applied Linguistics and Cultural Science, translators and interpreters are trained on the new Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs. In contrast to linguistics and literary studies in foreign languages (e.g. English or Romance Philology), the focus of this degree program is on the exact, most appropriate, and audience-specific transmission of spoken and written texts. Interpreters render spoken texts orally into different languages.
