In the case of an international applicants, your university entrance qualification obtained in your home country must be equivalent to a German university entrance qualification. Anyone wanting to embark on a German-taught undergraduate degree programme at Münster University must have an adequate knowledge of German (for most programmes DSH-2 or equivalent).

In addition to its specifically geophysical elements, the programme comprises fundamental physical, mathematical and geoscientific components. Numerical modelling on high-performance computers (modelling, computational geophysics) is an essential part of the course. The programme begins with an introduction to geophysics and geophysical data processing.
