All joint Honours degrees may also be studied as major/minor combinations; students should ensure the correct UCAS code is used for the specific combination they require; the course begins by considering the practical techniques involved in accounting and finance and then continues to develop the student's skills to critically analyse the theory behind these techniques; accounting is also integrated with broader subject areas such as economics, law and human resources; course offers significant exemption from the main professional accountancy bodies, ACCA and CIMA; optional 1-year sandwich placement between levels 2 and 3.

Расположение

Город Нортгемптон находится в центральной Англии, в часе езды от Бирмингема, Лондона и Оксфорда. Университету принадлежат два зеленых кампуса, находящихся в 6,5 км от центра города Нортгемптон. Университет расположен недалеко от основных железнодорожных и автомобильных магистралей страны, между кампусами ходят бесплатные автобусы. Два кампуса Университета – это Парк Кампус (Park Campus) в Кингсторпе – северном пригороде Нортгемптона - и Авеню Кампус (Avenue Campus), который находится немного к северу от центра города, напротив большого парка под названием Racecourse. С 1924 года на Авеню Кампусе располагается технологический колледж, вошедший в состав Университета.
