Level 1: Students study core modules relating to construction law, applied science principles and design principles; a period of industrial placement is included and students analyse the health and safety issues affecting the construction industries; theoretical knowledge relating to geology and soil mechanics and site surveying processes also covered. Level 2: students study a number of important management principles and discuss structural analysis and aspects of civil engineering construction; project performance is studied in the context of the industrial placement; theoretical aspects of construction materials and construction economics are also covered.

Расположение

Город Нортгемптон находится в центральной Англии, в часе езды от Бирмингема, Лондона и Оксфорда. Университету принадлежат два зеленых кампуса, находящихся в 6,5 км от центра города Нортгемптон. Университет расположен недалеко от основных железнодорожных и автомобильных магистралей страны, между кампусами ходят бесплатные автобусы. Два кампуса Университета – это Парк Кампус (Park Campus) в Кингсторпе – северном пригороде Нортгемптона - и Авеню Кампус (Avenue Campus), который находится немного к северу от центра города, напротив большого парка под названием Racecourse. С 1924 года на Авеню Кампусе располагается технологический колледж, вошедший в состав Университета.
