This degree is for students who want to develop grounding in the key principles in modern education; students learn about how learners develop in understanding and about the challenges faced by those who deal with them in professional education contexts; they develop an understanding of how public education policy making originates and how decisions made affect learners; students have the opportunity to study the questions of how and why people learn and the factors which impact on this learning at an individual and societal level; there are also opportunities to interact with other students, working in education and other relevant professional areas, including those who are taking part time professional courses in the university; students consider lifelong learning, work based learning, children and young people’s experiences of education, adult learning and the role of other public services and investigate the connections between these various services.

Расположение

Университет располагается в оживленной части города Портсмут, недалеко от набережной; рядом находится множество магазинов, пабов, баров и ресторанов. Портсмут связан с остальными крупными городами страны отличной сетью автомагистралей и железных дорог. Город находится всего в 90 минутах езды на поезде от Лондона, из него также легко добраться до аэропорта Хитроу, Гатвика и Саутгемптона. Портсмут - город с крупным паромным портом, поэтому из него легко доплыть до континента, в частности до Франции и Испании.
