The course concentrates on applied aspects of economics, finance and banking rather than the theoretical approach; the course enables students to evaluate the relevance of economic theories and principles and how they can explain the existence, nature and operation of retail, wholesale and international banking; public policy issues of banking are considered and students gain an understanding of applied corporate finance, linking to business decisions and strategy; students also achieve a good understanding of economic and financial modelling and forecasting techniques.

Расположение

Университет располагается в оживленной части города Портсмут, недалеко от набережной; рядом находится множество магазинов, пабов, баров и ресторанов. Портсмут связан с остальными крупными городами страны отличной сетью автомагистралей и железных дорог. Город находится всего в 90 минутах езды на поезде от Лондона, из него также легко добраться до аэропорта Хитроу, Гатвика и Саутгемптона. Портсмут - город с крупным паромным портом, поэтому из него легко доплыть до континента, в частности до Франции и Испании.
