Good Honours degree or equivalent, awarded by a recognised body; exceptionally, admission may be granted to students with other qualifications or who have relevant employment experience; applicants whose 1st language is not English: IELTS 6.0; TOEFL 550 (paper-based).

The course is for students wanting to further their knowledge of economics, finance, or accounting and extend it in the direction of business economics, so as to better equip themselves for employment, especially in the field of business; the course concentrates on applied aspects of business economics rather than the theoretical approach; the course enables students to evaluate the relevance of economic theories and principles as well as teaching them to apply these theories and principles to business and marketing, particularly decisions on pricing, product development, innovation and promotion, and advertising; students gain an understanding of business decisions and strategy including investment, mergers and take-overs; in addition, students are able to apply economic forecasting techniques to business applications.

Расположение

Университет располагается в оживленной части города Портсмут, недалеко от набережной; рядом находится множество магазинов, пабов, баров и ресторанов. Портсмут связан с остальными крупными городами страны отличной сетью автомагистралей и железных дорог. Город находится всего в 90 минутах езды на поезде от Лондона, из него также легко добраться до аэропорта Хитроу, Гатвика и Саутгемптона. Портсмут - город с крупным паромным портом, поэтому из него легко доплыть до континента, в частности до Франции и Испании.
