Вступительные требования

Applicants should possess, prior to matriculation, a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in chemical engineering or an allied field such as Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, or another engineering discipline. The relative merits of all candidates are compared, with weight given to undergraduate records and Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test (Verbal, Quantitative, and Analytical Writing) results, prior research or work experience. Scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Admitted students who score below a 28 on the speaking subsection of the TOEFL iBT will be required to take an English placement test at Princeton.

The M.Eng. is a coursework-based master's degree offered to practicing engineers. Eight graduate-level courses must be completed for the M.Eng. degree, at least six of which must be in technical subjects; the remainder can include courses in policy, economics, or finance. Students admitted in candidacy for the M.Eng. degree will always have external support, typically from their employers. The M.Eng. degree may also be pursued part-time by staff from the many nearby industrial laboratories.

Расположение

Принстонский университет находится в самом сердце города Принстона, в штате Нью-Джерси. Отличная сеть автобусных, железнодорожных и автомобильных трасс и путей позволяет быстро (в пределах одного часа) добраться до Принстона из нескольких крупнейших городов: Филадельфии и Трентона на юге, Ньюарка и Нью-Йорка на север. В каждом из них (за исключением Трентона) есть свой международный аэропорт. Автобусные остановки и железнодорожные станции, с которых можно уехать в эти города, находятся неподалеку от студгородка.
