The GRE or GMAT is required. Our entering classes have had a median GRE score of 167 on the quantitative part More generally, we pay particular attention to your mathematics background (courses taken in college, grades, scores on the quantitative parts of the tests, etc.) Scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Admitted students who score below a 28 on the speaking subsection of the TOEFL iBT will be required to take an English placement test at Princeton. At a minimum, we expect applicants to have completed one or more internships.

Graduates of our program have a solid understanding of the fundamental quantitative tools from economic theory, probability, statistics, optimization and computer science, all of which are becoming increasingly vital in the financial industry. While there has been much debate in recent months about the role of quantitative finance in the financial crisis, the financial industry has increasingly placed strong emphasis on quantitative tools and analysis as it seeks to rebuild itself and strengthen risk management practices.

Расположение

Принстонский университет находится в самом сердце города Принстона, в штате Нью-Джерси. Отличная сеть автобусных, железнодорожных и автомобильных трасс и путей позволяет быстро (в пределах одного часа) добраться до Принстона из нескольких крупнейших городов: Филадельфии и Трентона на юге, Ньюарка и Нью-Йорка на север. В каждом из них (за исключением Трентона) есть свой международный аэропорт. Автобусные остановки и железнодорожные станции, с которых можно уехать в эти города, находятся неподалеку от студгородка.
