Good Honours degree in history; graduates in subjects where history is not the main component (e.g. history and politics, economics, etc) are considered if they can provide evidence that at least 50 per cent of their degree programme was related to history; GCSE minimum grade C or equivalent in mathematics, English language and science; interview.

The programme is conducted through a series of lectures, seminars and practical workshops; full attention is paid to the requirements of the National Curriculum and of the various examination syllabuses; the course looks to the potential for creative and critical experience revealed by such formal requirements, rather than seeing these as constraints; leads to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), subject to satisfactory performance in skills tests.

Расположение

Город Рединг находится в долине реки Темзы на юго-востоке Англии в 25 минутах езды на скоростном поезде от Центрального Лондона. Экономика города – самая быстрорастущая в Англии. Рединг - центр IT индустрии Великобритании, где крупные офисы имеют такие компании, как Oracle, Microsoft, Ericsson и другие.

Главный кампус университета Whiteknights занимает 160 гектаров лугов и парковой зоны. Маршруты автобусов 20 и 21 отходят у железнодорожной станции /центра и следуют прямо в студенческий городок. Аэропорт Хитроу находится в 40 минутах езды на автобусе от города.
