This course pursues the study of the molecular basis of life, with particular reference to the microbes that not only provide us with food, natural resources and life-saving antibiotics, but also cause epidemics such as plague, tuberculosis, foot-and-mouth disease and a host of others across the world.

Расположение

Четвертый крупнейший город Англии известен своей дружелюбной атмосферой, идеальной для общественной студенческой жизни и развлечений. Шеффилд, со 150 лесонасаждениями и 50 парками является самым «зеленым» городом в Англии.

Университет находится в центре Великобритании, всего в 11 км от национального парка Скалистый край и в двух с половиной часах езды на поезде до Лондона.

Через город Шеффилд проходят автомобильные и железнодорожные магистрали страны. В самом городе отлично функционирует транспортная система. Университетский кампус находится в западной части центра города и до него легко добраться на машине, автобусе или трамвае.
