Вступительные требования

1st or Upper 2nd Class Honours degree including a large component of study in a relevant field, such as psychology, linguistics or biomedical science; candidates with degrees in non-cognate fields if they can demonstrate a record of working in an area relevant to speech and language therapy: an SLT assistant; applicants are interviewed and must have observed speech and language therapists working with clients.

This course develops the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for the graduate to work as a speech and language therapist; it also enables the graduate to develop the necessary competencies in order to assess and manage a range of communication and swallowing disorders at the appropriate entry-level to the profession; the student develops the relevant IT and research skills to equip the graduate to be active in evidence-based practice.

Расположение

Четвертый крупнейший город Англии известен своей дружелюбной атмосферой, идеальной для общественной студенческой жизни и развлечений. Шеффилд, со 150 лесонасаждениями и 50 парками является самым «зеленым» городом в Англии.

Университет находится в центре Великобритании, всего в 11 км от национального парка Скалистый край и в двух с половиной часах езды на поезде до Лондона.

Через город Шеффилд проходят автомобильные и железнодорожные магистрали страны. В самом городе отлично функционирует транспортная система. Университетский кампус находится в западной части центра города и до него легко добраться на машине, автобусе или трамвае.
