2nd Class Honours degree or Master's degree in civil engineering or other appropriate engineering, mathematics or science subject; applicants with appropriate professional qualifications and experience are considered; standard English requirement: TOEFL score of 575 (232 computer-based test); IELTS grade 6.5 (with no marks less than 5.5), or equivalent.

UK earthquake engineering and civil engineering consultants are heavily engaged in specialist national and overseas projects requiring understanding of structural dynamics and earthquake engineering, and there is a constant demand for engineers with these skills, which are not covered in sufficient detail in undergraduate courses in the UK; this concern has been raised by the ICE and IStructE through the Standing Committee on Structural Safety (SCOSS), and this course addresses these concerns and equips engineers with skills in the broad area of civil engineering dynamics.

Расположение

Четвертый крупнейший город Англии известен своей дружелюбной атмосферой, идеальной для общественной студенческой жизни и развлечений. Шеффилд, со 150 лесонасаждениями и 50 парками является самым «зеленым» городом в Англии.

Университет находится в центре Великобритании, всего в 11 км от национального парка Скалистый край и в двух с половиной часах езды на поезде до Лондона.

Через город Шеффилд проходят автомобильные и железнодорожные магистрали страны. В самом городе отлично функционирует транспортная система. Университетский кампус находится в западной части центра города и до него легко добраться на машине, автобусе или трамвае.
