Official SAT or ACT scores, including at least one official writing score. High school results. More than 75% of admitted 2014 freshmen scored an 1150 or higher on the SAT (critical reading and math sections combined) or a 25 or higher on the ACT composite. Seventy-five percent of admitted 2014 freshmen earned a weighted core GPA of at least a 3.64. Students will be able to enhance their creativity, global understanding and critical thinking skills with a major in Film and Media Studies. The Film and Media Studies major at Carolina is devoted to the critical study of media culture and includes the usual core strengths of a liberal arts education. As a Film and Media Studies major, you will develop an array of critical skills necessary for actively interpreting and productively engaging film and media culture from essential media literacy skills to advanced research methods in historical and textual film and media analysis.
