Official SAT or ACT scores, including at least one official writing score. High school results. More than 75% of admitted 2014 freshmen scored an 1150 or higher on the SAT (critical reading and math sections combined) or a 25 or higher on the ACT composite. Seventy-five percent of admitted 2014 freshmen earned a weighted core GPA of at least a 3.64. Students who complete the required 18 high school academic units with at least a 3.5 HS GPA and earn scores as mentioned above are usually competitive for admission. TOEFL scores.

A Biology degree is relevant to everyone. A solid foundation in biological principles is certainly of relevance to students interested in careers in some aspect of medicine, biologically relevant research, management of natural resources or teaching. But such a foundation empowers any citizen to confront issues of ever increasing complexity of medical care, environmental deterioration, bioethics, agricultural economics, public health or biotechnology.
