Official SAT or ACT scores, including at least one official writing score. High school results. More than 75% of admitted 2014 freshmen scored an 1150 or higher on the SAT (critical reading and math sections combined) or a 25 or higher on the ACT composite. Seventy-five percent of admitted 2014 freshmen earned a weighted core GPA of at least a 3.64. Students who complete the required 18 high school academic units with at least a 3.5 HS GPA and earn scores as mentioned above are usually competitive for admission. TOEFL scores.

During your first two years, you will take a variety of courses to develop a foundation in mathematics, computer programming, the physical sciences, and basic engineering sciences as well as liberal arts courses to provide you with a well-balanced educational experience. You will have the opportunity to go on a variety of field trips, which will enhance the in-class learning experience. Civil Engineering majors will be able to concentrate in a variety of areas including environmental, geotechnical, structures, transportation, and water resources.
