Year 2: Video production 1; financial management in the leisure industry; social justice in professional roles. Year 3: Inquiry and research skills; personal development in a professional context; arts: special educational contexts. Year 4: Community empowerment; dissertation. Students undertake specialist studies in: music; visual art; dance; drama; cultural theory and complete individual and team projects.

Placements in years 1, 2 and 3 allow students to gain practical experience of arts delivery across a range of arts activities and enabling them to relate Faculty-based learning to practice in the field; placement agencies include local authorities, outreach arts workers, community drama and dance companies, the arts in hospitals, the arts in prisons, disability groups, community artists and art galleries with community links; the length of placement is increased in each year and there is some choice in year 3.
