In accordance with Law Society guidelines, the course comprises a 36-hour core curriculum of 9 modules: Practical ethics; client care; legal writing; personal organisation and time management; information technology and the legal office; financial and commercial awareness; interviewing; negotiation; drafting; in addition, trainees choose 18 hours of elective modules from the following: civil litigation; commercial drafting; commercial conveyancing; law firm management; company administration; criminal procedure; criminal advocacy; employment drafting; family law; human rights law; intellectual property law; information technology; mediation; private client.

Вступительные требования

A pass in or exemption from the professional examinations of the law society of Scotland in those subjects required by it in terms of the admissions as solicitor (Scotland) regulations, together with a current traineeship with a firm in Scotland.
