Accountants are involved at all stages of business planning and control, making crucial decisions that have far reaching implications for employees, companies and economies; students receive a comprehensive grounding in the latest thinking on financial, cost and management accounting, all in a wider business context; the financial management route enables students to develop a range of subject-specific and transferable skills; the programme focuses on a central core of financial and management accountancy modules, supported by a range of business and law modules; in the final year, students undertake an accounting project to make practical use of their skills; they collaborate with a business within the community and help them to solve a real world problem.
