This programme offers a combination of intellectual training and practical teaching; in the initial stages students gain basic skills in key media (eg video, photography, web design, radio) that they develop in the later stages of the programme according to their preferences; the degree also provides a distinctive intellectual framework within which to examine the histories, institutions, technologies, forms and meanings of conventional and new media, as well as offering familiarity with key theoretical and aesthetic concepts, developed through practical and analytical assignments.

Sussex has one of the most beautiful campus locations in Britain. Situated in rolling parkland on the edge of Brighton, the campus combines award-winning architecture with green open spaces. The campus is surrounded by the South Downs National Park, but just a few minutes away from the lively city of Brighton and Hove.

Sussex is located by the ocean in beautiful Brighton, which is also only 56 minutes from Central London.
