Year 1: Autumn term: landscape and heritage: threats and challenges; spring term: landscape and heritage: legal and management issues; summer term: landscape and heritage management in practice: placement: students relate this experience to theory through critical reflection; year 2: autumn term: approaches to practice in landscape and heritage management: the practical responses that can be made to protect and enhance landscape and heritage sites that have been identified as being under threat; spring and summer terms: independent study: students undertake an approved extended piece of supervised research with practical application related to the aims of the programme.

Good undergraduate Honours degree in a relevant subject; or equivalent professional qualification or experience; applicants whose 1st language is not English require evidence of English language proficiency.
