2.5 GPA. Students will be admitted to pre-psychology until they earn 30 credit hours and a 2.5 GPA. Submit official TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE scores at or above the following minimum scores:
TOEFL internet-based: 61
TOEFL paper-based: 500
IELTS overall band: 6.0
PTE (Pearson Test of English) Academic overall score: 44
MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery): 69

Psychology involves the study of the brain and behavior and how they influence one another — in humans and other animals. Faculty in UT’s Department of Psychology has expertise in a broad array of areas, from clinical and developmental psychology to social and cognitive psychology to psychobiology and learning.
The undergraduate program in psychology at The University of Toledo focuses on critical thinking and research. Psychology students learn to take a scientific approach to understanding behavior and a problem-solving approach to everyday situations.
