Senior high school credits in Biology and Chemistry are required preparation for first-year courses.Senior high school Physics.Students outside of Ontario should have the equivalent senior high school credits.tudents who are interested in studying cell and systems biology should take:
BIO 120H1 – Adaptation and Biodiversity and BIO130H1 – Molecular and Cell Biology
and first year chemistry (CHM 138H1 and 139H1), math (JMB 170Y1 or MAT 135H1 and 136H1) and/or physics (PHY131H1 and 132H1)

Comparative animal physiologists compare and contrast the physiological systems of different animal species, or of a single species under difference environmental conditions. This branch of physiology is an experimental science driven by an interest in understanding how physiological systems allow animals to adapt to their individual and ever-changing environments. In the last year of study students are encouraged to apply to conduct independent research project courses in the laboratories of physiologists within the Department of Cell and Systems Biology.
