One of the most popular concentration choices in recent years, McIntire’s Finance program is designed to prepare its graduates for financial careers characterized not only by success, but also by leadership and integrity. Our program has been meticulously crafted to ensure that students gain a deep and comprehensive understanding of critical functional and analytical methods of finance and the operation of global finance systems. Finance students also gain a comprehensive and integrated understanding of the operational aspects of business and investment finance, the functions of financial institutions and institutional capital markets, and the basic economic and legal framework of financial organizations. Graduates of McIntire’s world-class Finance program are highly regarded by top employers, and typically go on to specialized careers in corporate finance, financial counseling, investment management, or banking.
