Islamic Studies Year 1: Study of religions (10 credits); plus 30 credits from the following 10-credit modules: life of Muhammad; the rise of Islam; Islamic doctrine; introduction to Qur’an and Hadith; plus general compulsory modules: study skills (10 credits); and information technology skills (10 credits); plus 20 further credits from a range of options. Year 2: 40 credits from Islamic studies modules; plus a further 40 credits from optional modules. Year 3: 20 credits from Islamic studies modules; plus 20 credits from classics modules; plus 40 credits from theology modules. History All years: students must take a combination of modules to attain 80 credits in each year.
