You will study five core modules to give you an overview of key business areas, and take five elective modules of your choice. Assessment is usually a mix of exams and coursework. Your project and dissertation will either be as a consultant to an organisation or as applied research.

Consultancy project
Working as a consultant tests your ability to assess a problem and adopt the best approach to tackling it, as well as your client liaison and management skills. You will usually write a client report in addition to your 15,000 word dissertation.

Research project
A research project allows you to explore a topic critical to effective decision-making in organisations. Supervised by one of our academics, demonstrate you can undertake systematic and rigorous applied research over 15,000 words.

• Rational consumer behaviour & decision-making
• The impact of the EU Emissions Trading Scheme on reducing CO2 emissions
• An analysis into the effects of advertising and word of mouth

• A 1st or upper 2nd Class Honours bachelor's degree from a UK university, or an equivalent qualification from an overseas university; an acceptable professional qualification at a comparable level may be offered as an alternative;
• if English is not a 1st language candidates must demonstrate oral and written fluency in English; International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of at least 7.5; A Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) paper-based score of at least 630, computer-based of at least 267, or internet-based of 109.

Applications are open online throughout the year, bare in mind the course starts in September of each year.
