Depending on the modules taken (the course is also offered with an online Databases pathway) students will be able to: advise on existing and emerging Internet and e-commerce technology; build interactive, data-driven websites; deal with security risks within an e-commerce environment; advise on the technical aspects of the e-commerce strategy of a company and solve e-commerce problems; write Java applets and servlets, implement extensible mark up language (XML) databases, and develop multimedia environments with flash; to design and develop oracle databases, build sequential language (SQL) statements, manage a web-server, and implement serverside application.
