Year 1: Explores economics from a business and societal perspective; it examines the international business environment, taking in organisations, competition and the environment of crime. Year 2: Investigates government policy and business, environmental management, and the business of sport; it also explores the organisational analysis of firms, as well as banking and financial institutions. Year 3: Optional work placement. Final year: Global business; corporate social responsibility; the economics of strategy; and contemporary issues in the business environment; plus a research dissertation of the students' choice.

Students learn to critically apply economics in a globalised context, as well as within the processes of organisational decision making; they develop the building blocks of economics, and examine how these can be applied to other areas of society such as housing, health and sport; students look at business economics, and its application to the areas of sport and the environment.
