This exciting and contemporary course allows students to apply design practice across a broad range of internal spaces and types of spatial installations; these include design sectors such as residential, contract interiors, exhibitions, corporate interiors, themed environments, leisure, heritage and retail design; students consider the relationship between the purpose and the activity of the space, as well as the expectations and needs of the user; students develop a sensitivity towards key design elements, including surface, form, structure, colour, light, movement and time; students also explore how these can be combined to create environments which are useful, feasible and stimulating.
