Good Honours degree (2:1) in a relevant subject that incorporates the study of human anatomy, physiology, biomechanics or psychology; students with a 2:2 or lower, or experience rather than formal qualifications, can study as a postgraduate associate student; successful completion of modules can lead to transfer to the Master's.

2 specific pathways are available, in sport and exercise psychology and sport and exercise physiology; typical areas covered include: Application in applied sport and exercise psychology; biomechanics of sport and exercise; exercise physiology; exercise testing; independent study in sport and exercise science; interdisciplinary approaches to sport science support; issues in exercise psychology; laboratory experiences in physiology and biomechanics; strength and conditioning.
