Вступительные требования

A degree usually a good Honours degree (2ii or above); an academic strength in an area of the curriculum based on our current extended subject options; in regard to these extended subject studies please note the following expectations; if you wish to select English an English degree; or substantial part of a degree in English; or an A or B grade at A level is normally required; if you wish to select information communication technology (ICT) extensive practical work place application may be acceptable; if you wish to select AEY; an Early Childhood Studies degree and/or relevant expertise in the workplace with 3-7 year olds is normally required; if you wish to select physical education (PE) a sports studies degree and/or relevant expertise in a sports/physical education environment is normally required; grade C at GCSE or equivalent in English language; mathematics and science is compulsory for all those who wish to study this course; students should have some recent work experience in a primary school setting before application; all applicants will be required to obtain an Enhanced Disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau; candidates will be expected to bring some form of Photo identification to interview to assist with this process.

Preparation to teach the whole curriculum; strong focus on pedagogy and management; opportunity to develop an extended subject study; those currently offered include the national curriculum subjects; French; information communication technology (ICT); religious education; special educational needs and advanced early years; planning; teaching and evaluating children's learning; managing time; resources and people; communication and presentation skill;, including use of information communication technology (ICT); applying degree studies to teaching and learning contexts; ability to reflect in a professional context; partner schools include a range of settings from rural to inner city; students will practice teaching in at least two schools; the course is designed with periods in university to give you the opportunity to reflect on your future development; in each school students will be supported by a lead mentor; as well as a supervisory tutor; their role is to see that students get as much out of their reaching placements as possible and provide support and guidance;
