Specifically, applicants should possess:
solid basic knowledge in the field of information and computing sciences (including programming languages, data and process models, exchange languages, and object-oriented modeling);
solid basic knowledge of research methods;
solid basic knowledge of cognitive and communication science;
solid basic knowledge of organization science (including organizational structure, strategy, and culture);
basic knowledge of product software development, delivery, implementation and use;
basic knowledge of information systems design methods and modeling;
the ability to communicate facts and findings verbally and in writing, also using information and communication technology and audio-visual means.
Bachelor programmes that most likely meet the requirements are:
a BSc in Information Science
a BSc in Computer Science
Applicants holding one of the following bachelor degrees are likely to satisfy these requirements but probably require a deficiency course(s) or a premaster’s programme:
Innovation Management, Liberal Arts and Science, Management Science, Mathematics or Artificial Intelligence, with a minor in Information Science;
a BSc (other than the ones mentioned above) with a major in Information Science;
a BSc in Computer Science (or another information technology bachelor, e.g. Information Engineering); IELTS, Academic Module. Minimum score: 6.5 overall band, at least 6 for writing.
TOEFL, iBT. Minimum score: 93, institutional scores are not accepted.
Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English, at least a B grade.
Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English, at least a C grade.

The Master in Business Informatics combines theory, methods, and techniques from business and organisational science with the tools and practices of information and computing science. Our interdisciplinary approach addresses key issues faced by organisations and business managers across the globe.
Future vision
Successfully aligning ICT with an organisation’s business processes requires both technological and managerial insight. In this programme you can specialise in one of the following three career areas:
ICT Researcher (PhD) - Prepares for a career as a scientist and focuses on researching innovations in information science.
Analyst - Prepares for a career as a consultant who provides advice or services on business matters related to ICT, or on ICT matters related to business.
Entrepreneur - Prepares for a career as an independent entrepreneur who develops ICT products.
