Вступительные требования

Students who wish to enrol in the MSc Programme at Wageningen University & Research must have: At least a BSc degree (or equivalent) in a field of science relevant to the specific programme selected. A Grade Point Average (GPA) for the BSc study of at least 70% of the maximum scale. Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Good skills in mathematics and/or statistics. Basic computer skills. Programme specific requirements A Bachelor's degree with a general background in the social sciences and specific knowledge of communication science. Basic knowledge of domain within the life sciences is an asset. Students with a HBO degree (University of Applied Sciences), and in some case students with a particular academic background, are obliged to follow the linkage programme with a maximum of 30 ECTS. The linkage programme consists of various (third year) bachelor courses. IELTS - Overall grade 6.5 (with a minimum sub-score of 6.0 for speaking). TOEFL - internet-based 92 (with a minimum sub-score of 23 for speaking). Cambridge FCE - pass at grade A

In the master Applied Communication Science students learn to understand complex social problems around food, health and life sciences from various perspectives as well as to translate issues for diverse audiences and to build bridges across societal boundaries (e.g. between science and society, health and care and different professions). The master starts with a common course with an interdisciplinary focus on issues in food, health and the environment. After the common course, you can choose between two specialisations: ‘Communication & Innovation’ and ‘Health & Society’. In the specialisation Communication & Innovation students learn to integrate communication science with problem solving and innovation in the domain of the life sciences, such as nature, environment, water, nutrition and health, biotechnology and food production. The specialisation Health & Society studied social and behavioural aspects of health and health promotion.

Расположение

Wageningen Campus is centrally located in the Netherlands with excellent road connections with Amsterdam, Rotterdam and the Hague (just over an hour from Amsterdam and Schiphol), Utrecht (40 minutes), Arnhem (20 minutes) and Nijmegen (just over half an hour). Besides Schiphol, the campus is also within one hour from the international airports of Eindhoven and Düsseldorf Weeze.


The town of Wageningen, where the university is based, is a historic town on the banks of the Rhine. Each year in May the town holds a festival which draws in thousands of visitors, celebrating the town’s significance as the site of the liberation of the Netherlands at the end of the Second World War.
