The direct aim of the course is to enable the development of conceptual, creative and practical skills and to encourage flexibility, knowledge, skills and motivation as a basis for future studies and career development; it provides the opportunity to develop personal vision and ideas on exploring areas of critical interest; it encourages the development of depth and breadth of skills and critical studies are integrated throughout; students have access to painting, printmaking, wood, metal, ceramics, plaster workshops, photographic studios, darkrooms, digital technologies and computer suites; visual arts sector is diverse and highly rewarding and opportunities for fine artists exist in areas as diverse as painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, ceramics, digital technologies and in extensive business opportunities relating to the arts.
