This course is designed to enable budding artists to develop their practice within a supported and small group environment; it offers a specialist fine art education which develops studio practice in relation to its historical, critical, social, and theoretical contexts; in the studios students have opportunities to work imaginatively with painting, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, photography, film and video, digital media, sound, installation and performance; also a range of methods, materials and working strategies and be encouraged to experiment, speculate, research and investigate approaches to the articulation of ideas; 240 credits required for DipHE, 360 for BA (Hons).
