Level 1: Focuses on the competencies required for effective classroom management and level 2 provides the conceptual analysis and theoretical depth necessary for reflection on practice; students prepare a professional practice portfolio and submit 2 assignments relating to: managing the learning environment; and supporting and tutoring learners. Year 2: students prepare another professional practice portfolio reflecting conceptual analysis and theoretical depth as described above; in addition, there will be an assignment relating to issues, policies and values and an action research project from a list of options including: adult learners; language and communication; curriculum design; information communication technology; and students with learning difficulties and disabilities (SLDD).
