Course includes learning about the professional skills relevant to social care; students will acquire knowledge which will help to understand human development, human behaviour and needs; also looking at a variety of social care provisions to help analyse and evaluate social care in the 21st century; as relevant practical experience is crucial, students will undertake a 60 day placement as part of the course; this helps to focus on developing the students own skills in the care field and assists with relating theory to practice.
